Good friday

Good Friday is a day when we as a church might truly take the time to consider the magnitude of the work of Jesus on the cross, the significance that this has on our lives, both in this life and in the next. If we as followers of Christ are honest in our reflections about His sacrifice, we should then be reminded of the responsibility that we have to share this Good News with everyone God puts on our path.

And it is Good News indeed, that all who put their trust in this Jesus, although underserving and adrift in their failings, will be given an eternal reward. Let us turn our hearts to God as we journey once again through the readings in the gospel of John, Chapters 18 & 19. Ask the Spirit to open our hearts and minds to the implications of our readings, as we consider the journey of Christ to the cross.
