Rev Joshua Tepou (Senior Minister)
Greetings all, I’m a born and raised Aucklander, who loves the beauty and diversity of Tamaki Makaurau (and the Auckland Blues). As minister of St George’s, I have the privilege of serving this beautiful body of believers and our wider community as we all grow in our love for Christ. My hope is that all will come to know the true love of Christ.

Carolynn Tepou (Elder & Sunday School Lead)
Fakalofa lahi atu, I’m a mother and a teacher. Having restarted St George’s budding Sunday school, I help to lead it with a small but faithful team. My husband is the minister, and we are blessed to be able to serve God through this faith community and beyond.

Henner Battenhaussen (Elder)
Henner is an avid lover of music, travel and his family. He has served on leadership with his wife Nelrie for a few years now and has a heart to build strong communities.

Nelrie Battenhaussen (Elder)
Nelrie has a heart for people and brings a smile and warmth to the St George’s fellowship. She keeps touch with the pulse of the North Shore community through voluntary work at the St George’s market shop.

Sands Goodenough (Elder)
Sands is another of the newer members of the St George’s leadership team. She brings a diverse set of talents and perspectives having grown up in an American Presbyterian home. She has a heart to serve St George’s and the wider community well.

Lindsay Hounsell (Elder & Property Co-convenor)
Lindsay has been member of St George’s since 1998 and an elder since 2002. Lindsay currently serves a Co-convenor of the Property Committee and is the resident St George’s historian.

Gordon Lamont (Elder & Treasurer)
Gordon has served faithfully as an elder for many years. In recent times he has taken on the role of treasurer. Gordon has long been an active member of the North Shore business community through his corporate and charitable endeavors.

Beverley Lea (Elder)
Hi everyone, I’m Beverley, and I have served in the church in different capacities, be it through boys brigade or through my many years in business, it has been a blessing to love and serve our community.

Karen Mitchell (Elder)
Karen is an educator with deep ties to St George’s as both she and her daughter were married in this church. As an elder, Karen has served both the church and the wider community faithfully.

Gareth Stephens (Elder)
Gareth has served for a time on the leadership team bringing with him much from his business experience. He continues to care for those around him, including many members of St George’s with patience and grace.

Sue Stephens (Elder)
One of the newest members of the leadership team, Sue has a deeply pastoral heart. She and her husband Gareth have been long time members of St Georges. Sue continue to be bring compassion to this environment with humility.

Este Van der Werff (Sunday School)
Kia ora! I'm Esté van der Werff, one of the Sunday School teachers here at St George's. My husband, Tim, and I have been attending St George's for a little over a year now. Being part of such a welcoming, Godly community has been a true blessing. It is a privilege to spend time with the tamariki of St George's each Sunday and disciple them in their relationship with the Lord and knowledge of the Christian faith.

Graeme has selflessly and diligently served on the leadership team of St George’s. As Co-convenor of the Property Workgroup, he brings a wealth of practical experience and skills that bless the church.
